The wild and wacky ArtPrize

Now I’m no big-city arts critic, but I found the recent ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Mich., to be highly interesting.

The open competition attracted a whole mess of entrants vying for a $250,000 prize.

A painter from New York won the big money, but I would’ve voted for the 100-foot Loch Ness Monster piece.
